The Art of Giving benefits all the critical community programs associated with JFS of Western North Carolina, including Mental Health Counseling, Senior Care Management, Case Management, Financial Relief, and Food Insecurity.

About The Art of Giving
The Art of Giving annual fundraiser benefits Jewish Family Services of WNC and provides us with an opportunity to honor the recipients of the “Dee Weiner L’dor V’dor Award” and the “JFS Gibbor Community Heroes Award,” while enjoying food, drinks, entertainment, a silent auction, and more.
The Art of Giving is not only a celebration of creativity, but also a reflection of the deeper practice of philanthropy. Philanthropy, like art, is learned, refined, and passed from one generation to the next. It is shaped by values, guided by compassion, and rooted in the belief that our responsibility to one another extends beyond ourselves.

About JFS of WNC
At JFS, our work is grounded in the Jewish value of tzedakah, giving with purpose and responsibility. We ensure that individuals and families of all faiths and backgrounds receive support when they need it most.
JFS was formed more than 20 years ago and now serves Buncombe and Henderson Counties, offering services with inclusivity and compassion, including:
- Healing Solutions Counseling: Accessible, affordable therapy by licensed therapists.
- Case Management: Assistance with food, finances, housing, aging issues and more.
- Crisis Funding: Immediate help for individuals facing food insecurity, and temporary assistance with housing, rent, utilities etc.
- Faye’s Place Elder Club: Joyful socializing, stimulation, and a hot lunch for seniors, plus respite for their caregivers.
- Chaplaincy: Spiritual connection for those who are ill, in crisis, or facing end of life.
- Senior Care Management: Helps older adults age safely and independently through assessments, personalized care planning, and family support.
